What is screen printing?
Screen printing uses a mesh screen and ink to transfer a design onto a garment. The process is particularly useful for producing strong, consistent prints across multiple items.
When should I choose screen printing?
Screen printing is worth considering when you need the same design repeated across a quantity of garments, particularly for company clothing, uniforms, events, teams, campaigns, merchandise and group orders.
Is screen printing suitable for full-colour photographs?
Screen printing can reproduce multi-colour artwork, but designs with many colours, gradients or photographic detail may be better suited to another printing method. Send us the artwork and we’ll recommend the most suitable approach.
Why does the number of colours matter?
Traditional screen printing generally requires separate preparation for each print colour. The number of colours can therefore affect the setup, production process and cost of the job.
Can I bring my own garments?
Yes. You can supply your own garments for printing. We’ll first assess the fabric, garment construction and artwork to make sure the items are suitable for the requested screen print.

Where can my design be printed?
Common positions include the left chest, centre front, full front, upper back, full back and sleeves. Available positions depend on the garment and your artwork.
Is screen printing durable?
Screen printing is widely used for garments that need a durable printed finish. Actual longevity depends on the fabric, ink, print setup, use of the garment and how it is washed and cared for.
How should I wash a screen-printed garment?
Wash printed garments inside out using cool water, avoid bleach and avoid ironing directly over the print. Always follow the care instructions of the original garment as well.
